A young gay boy burns an ant with a magnifying glass and it grows and morphs into a duplicate of himself. Over the years, he returns to the woods to explore his sexuality and identity by forming a toxic relationship with this skinwalker that looks just like him. It has learned language only from what he says and, of course, the tiny sign outside the local church with its changing passages.
