Verdell is a one-eyed man trying to live a normal life, but after a smiling goofball with an eyepatch ascends to internet fame by stealing his tragic childhood story, everything's obscured. Verdell doesn't want just an eye for an eye. He wants justice. But as he gets closer to his catfish, he discovers that maybe he's found someone who finally sees him.
